Anang Travel & Tours ("Anang", "we") is a DOT accredited travel and tour agency on Serena Street, Brgy. Buena Suerte, El Nido, Palawan. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
Information we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, tour, date, number of guests and pickup place.
- Traveler profile (optional): nationality, birthday, hotel in El Nido, arrival date, emergency contact, swimming ability, and diet or allergy notes.
- Travel companions you choose to save: their name, relationship, birthday, nationality and swimming ability.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, email, WhatsApp or Messenger.
- Payment records: amount, method and date. Card and PayPal payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- For trips that need it: flight details and a photo of a valid ID.
- Basic website usage data (pages visited, device type) if analytics is turned on.
For some trips (such as Balabac, the El Nido to Coron Expedition and van transfers) we ask for a photo of a valid ID for boat manifests and permits. Only authorized Anang staff can see it, it is used only for that trip, and it is deleted after your trip.
Why we use it
- To confirm and run your tours, transfers and packages.
- To arrange pickups, boat lists, permits and the paperwork required by the local government.
- To keep you safe on the water, for example knowing who can swim and who to call in an emergency.
- To send booking confirmations, payment links, reminders and weather updates.
- To send deals and travel tips, only if you agree. You can turn these off anytime in your account.
- To improve our website and services.
Diet, allergy and swimming details are only used for your safety and comfort on the tour. We collect them with your consent and you can leave them blank.
Who we share it with
- Our guides, boat captains and drivers, only the details they need to run your trip.
- Hotels, resorts or transport partners that are part of your booking.
- Government offices when the law or tour permits require it.
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as our payment provider, email and hosting services. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to run your trip and to meet accounting and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
How we protect it
Only authorized Anang staff can see your booking details. We use secure, encrypted connections and trusted providers, and we review access regularly.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct wrong or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent or object to marketing messages.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Cookies and analytics
Our website saves a few settings in your browser, such as your login and preferred currency. If analytics is turned on, Google Analytics may collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the site.
Children
Children can join our tours with a parent or guardian. Accounts should be created by an adult, who can add children as travel companions.
